Job Description – Front Desk Tax Position


  • Provide Administrative Support
  • Respond to inquiries via email, phone and mail
  • Greet customers
  • Make appointments
  • File paperwork
  • Perform data entry
  • Scan documents
  • Receive and sort mail


  • Perform Tax and Accounting Duties
  • Bookkeeping, tax, payroll
  • Prepare proof of income statements
  • Conduct tax interviews with clients
  • Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
  • Provide CRA audit support and communicate with CRA on clients’ tax issues
  • Prepare invoices and process payments
  • Assistant with payroll and bookkeeping
  • prepare reports and financial documents
  • Check relevant tax law, including statues and handbooks, to ensure proper compliance
  • Keep clients’ taxes as low as feasible legally  using allowable credits and deductions
  • Ensure the confidentiality of each client
  • Attend to the needs of clients to inspire them to refer service and come back every year
  • Grow the business by promoting company’s services and expanding client base


  • Provide Marketing Support
  • Create flyers and marketing material
  • Create and maintain company’s website
  • Promote company’s products and services via social media
  • Make cold calls to prospective clients
  • Plan and monitor marketing campaigns
  • Create reports and presentations


  • Required Skills & Experience
  • Accounting Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
  • Experience completing individual tax returns
  • Experience in office administration, sales and marketing
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, tax software such as Sage and Profile
  • Proficient in social media such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Wechat
  • Must speak fluent English
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong work ethics
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, meet deadline and work independently
  • Flexible, professional, dedicated, punctual and detailed-oriented
